Having a light and airy home is priceless. Being able to enjoy as much of the sunlight from the comfort of your own home is pretty important, especially when it comes to getting rid of all that stress. Just imagine this, comfortably reading your favourite book while leaving the sun rays gently kiss your skin. Priceless. Personally, I love that, and I cherish every little ray of sunshine that enters into my home, but sometimes this can get quite annoying, especially in summer when the sun is too warm so you can't stand it, which is why I have decided to install shades on my windows.
When speaking about shades, the ones I was attracted the most were the honeycomb cellular shades as they are a stylish yet functional blind solution. I chose precisely this as they can be used both to block or filter light and insulate windows to save energy. They are a beautiful piece of shades that can provide privacy and light control all at once with just one move. The greatest benefit of installing honeycomb cellular shades is that they will save you a lot of energy as they have little pockets that can trap the heat or cold coming through the glass.
Another reason why I chose them is that they have more versatile control options that cannot be compared to some other types of shades. The best thing is that you can choose between corded or cordless honeycomb blinds wherein the cordless ones are more child friendly. When it comes to the types, they are available in a variety of colours, fabric, and cell sizes. Elegant, stylish and functional, make sure you choose honeycomb blinds that are made from fade resistant and lightweight fabric.
Blockout fabrics, for example, offer great light control and excellent privacy, and the best thing is that you can choose between more than 30 colours which means that finding the right ones for your needs would be a piece of cake. There are also light filtering honeycombs, popular for their light diffusing capabilities. This means that they can protect your furnishing and flooring from the ultraviolet rays whilst insulating your room from both heat and cold. You can also choose sheers with which you can retain your view as well as your day privacy.
Regarding the care, they are pretty easy to take care of. Just lightly run a feather duster over the surface or vacuum them with the brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner and that's it. To remove and spot stains, gently rub the spot with a soft and damp cloth with a very weak mixture of water and dishwashing soap and after that clean with a soft dampened cloth with clean water.
